Floating Window (Minimize)
Minimize Execute Mode to a small, draggable floating widget that stays on top while you reference other apps or take a quick break.
Overviewâ
Floating Window allows:
- đ¯ Keep current step visible while multitasking
- đą Draggable widget anywhere on screen
- âąī¸ Timer stays visible and running
- âŠī¸ One-click restore to full Execute Mode
- đ Always-on-top positioning
Use when:
- Need to reference documentation while executing
- Quick email check mid-task
- Looking up information for current step
- Want step reminder while working in another app
Minimizingâ
From Execute Mode:
- Click Minimize button (âŧ) in top bar
- Or press Cmd/Ctrl + M keyboard shortcut
- Execute Mode minimizes to small floating widget
Moving Widgetâ
Desktop:
- Click and drag the grip handle (âŽâŽ)
- Position anywhere on screen
- Stays on top of other windows
Mobile:
- Touch and drag to reposition
- Snap to screen edges
- Won't interfere with content
Position persists:
- Remembers location for session
- Returns to same spot if you minimize again
Default Positionâ
First minimize:
- Appears in bottom-right corner
- Non-intrusive placement
- Move as needed
Subsequent minimizes:
- Returns to last position you set
- Consistent placement across minimizes
Browser PiP (Chromium Browsers)â
On supported browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave):
- Widget can enter Picture-in-Picture mode
- True always-on-top window (separate from browser)
- Works even when switching tabs or apps
To enable:
- Minimize Execute Mode
- Click PiP button (đē) on widget
- Widget becomes native PiP window
PiP window:
- Always on top (OS-level)
- Stays visible when switching apps
- Can resize and reposition
- Returns to widget when exiting PiP
Note: PiP availability depends on browser support.
What's Visible in Widgetâ
â Always shown:
- Task name (truncated if long)
- Current step number and percentage
- Step description (first 40-50 characters)
- Timer (if enabled)
- Play/Pause (if timer active)
â Not shown:
- Full step description
- Step notes
- Previous/next steps
- Settings
Widget is reference view - restore to full mode for complete information.
Widget Interactionsâ
Click widget â Restore to full Execute Mode
Click drag handle â Move widget
Click restore (â) â Return to full screen
Click close (Ã) â Exit Execute Mode
Timer controls â Same as full mode
Mobile Behaviorâ
Limitations:
- No true always-on-top on mobile browsers
- Widget stays within browser viewport
- Can't overlay other apps (browser restriction)
Optimization:
- Touch-friendly drag handle
- Larger tap targets
- Snap to screen edges
- Doesn't cover task content
PWA Install:
- Installable as app for better experience
- Close to native feel
- Still browser-bound
Better on mobile:
- Use full Execute Mode
- Or pause and resume when needed
- Minimize less useful on small screens
Can widget stay on top of other applications?â
Desktop: Only with Picture-in-Picture mode (Chrome/Edge). Otherwise stays within browser.
Mobile: No, browser restriction.
What if I close browser with widget minimized?â
Progress saves. Reopen HealUp â Resume Execute Mode where you left off.
Can I resize the widget?â
Not currently. Fixed size optimized for readability. Resizing coming in future update.
Does minimizing affect timer?â
No. Timer continues running in background. Returns to same time when restored.
Can I complete step from widget?â
No. Restore to full Execute Mode to mark complete. Widget is reference only.
What if I drag widget off-screen?â
Double-click restore button repositions to default (bottom-right).
